Both local and regional maps are included to find your way to the Kane Woods Nature Area.  Breadcrumbs are not included.

Local road map can help visitors find the Kane Woods and adjacent Scott Park.  Major roads are highlighted in cream, while local access routes from the main roads are highlighted in green and orange.

  1. From Heidelberg, take Rt 50 Washington Pike south, turn Left onto Greentree Road, across Chartiers Creek on Veterans Bridge, turn Right onto Scrubgrass Road, follow to intersection with Main Street, park at Whiskey Point Trailhead.
     

  2. From I-79 Kirwin Hts exit, take Rt 50 Washington Pike north, turn Right onto Greentree Road, across Chartiers Creek on Veterans Bridge, turn Right onto Scrubgrass Road, follow to intersection with Main Street, park at Whiskey Point Trailhead.
      

  3. From Bower Hill Road, take Kane Blvd. to the Jewish Community Center.   Access JCC Trailhead from parking lot.  
      

  4. From JJC Trailhead to Whiskey Point: Follow Kane Blvd. down the hill and turn Right on Main Street, follow to  intersection with Scrubgrass Road.

  1. From Downtown Pittsburgh.  Follow Parkway (I-279) to Greentree exit, follow ramp to Greentree Rd, right onto Greentree Road (121 S), Left onto Scrubgrass Rd,  at intersection with Main Street, park at Whiskey Point Trailhead.  about 20 minutes, 8 miles, from downtown Pittsburgh.

  2. From Airport, follow Parkway (I-279) to either Greentree exit, follow directions above, or take the Carnegie Exit, which comes first.  From Carnegie exit, take Main St. to Washingon Road (Rt 50), which will go to Heidelberg.  Follow directions from Heidelberg. 
     

  3. From South Hills, follow Bower Hill Rd to Kane Blvd.   Jewish Community Center, with access to JCC trailhead, will be on right.  Or follow Kane Blvd. down the hill, turn Right at Main Street to intersection with Scrubgrass Road to access Whiskey Point Trailhead.
